About the Meeting

The Collaborative Research Center “Genetic and Epigenetic Evolution of Hematopoietic Neoplasms” (SFB 1243) has been established in Munich since 2016. We study the evolutionary dynamics, in particular the emergence of treatment resistance, of acute myeloid leukemia and indolent lymphomas by combining expertise from clinicians, molecular biologists and computational biologists. With this approach we aim to better understand how mutation and selection shape tumor progression and to ultimately improve treatment options for cancer patients.

In this context, we look forward to exchanging with internationally renowned colleagues, focusing on the emergence and relapse of blood cancers, their computational and experimental modeling, clinical translations and emerging genomic technologies.

We have invited two keynote speakers as well as twelve speakers contributing to 6 sessions over 2 days. The symposium will include poster exhibitions and additional short talks chosen from the abstract submissions.

All interested are welcome!
