Life-Science Graduate Network Get-together

All PhD students from the Life-Science Campus are welcome!

23.02.2017

Second LSGN Event

We would like to invite all PhD students to our second Life-Science Graduate Network (LSGN) get-together!

What is this event about? Getting to know PhD students and scientific work from other life science graduate schools and programs in Munich.

Date: Thursday, February 23, 2017
Where
: Biocenter
Registration starts: 18:00, snacks and beer
Poster session: 19:00-20:00, jazz music (2 posters per graduate school)
Food and entertainment: from 20:00, more food, drinks, live music

Highlights:

  • There will be a poster prize for the best poster.
  • Beer 1€, you get a free beer if you answer a little questionnaire with 2-3 questions about the poster session.
  • We will have an idea corner to gather research or general ideas (also for further LSGN events).

Please note: We need 2-3 people from our IRTG who would be willing to bring a poster they already have (you don’t need to prepare an extra one). We know, many of you only started in 2016 and don’t have a poster yet, but I think there should be 2-3 of us, who already have one and would be willing to bring it and stand next to it during the poster session to answer questions. There will not be something like an official presentation for each poster, we want to keep the whole thing quite personal and informal, so you can really talk to each other. And remember, we will have a poster prize =) So please, if you have the opportunity to bring a poster, just write us a short email. It would be great if also our young IRTG could provide some posters!

We would be happy to see many of you at the LSGN Get-together, we think it will be a great opportunity for informal networking and to have a nice time together.

Best,
Enric and Julia

The LSGN (=Life Science Graduate Network) is a network which was started by the PhD student reps of the different Life Science Grad Schools and graduate programs in Munich (currently there are 16 schools and/or programs!), and the idea is to organise regular events for PhD students to promote exchange and share relevant topics.
